I know what a stretch that was for you to actually "talk" to a stranger on the subway. Why, the audacity! ;) Life is only exciting when we do stretch outside of our comfort zone. If that wasn't true I wouldn't have jumped out of helicopters and airplanes in the Army. Life can be so boring if we let it. In addition, we must always take personal comfort zone into consideration when working with a new member. You can only build from where they are and not jump too far ahead or they will be scared into inertia. But your experience is a testimony to others about doing what is necessary to get outside their comfort zone and GROW!
