I wouldn’t recommend calling these kind of leads by hand because you will get lots of disconnected and invalid numbers. But Citalink makes it a breeze

So anyway just got a call from a guy who said “You called me a few days ago” I had no idea of who it was so I simply
said: “Oh yeah, I believe we had spoken and you were looking for a home based business”

He said “Yes I am”

So we spoke a little and he is really sharp

I did a presentation of my business and he is very interested.

He wants me to call him again Wednesday

I looked in my Citalink back office and we never had actually spoken before. He must have called back because my number was on his caller id

I have been testing these cheap leads and I have been finding some good people.  In fact , I bet I could pick up the phone book  and randomly call people and a certain percentage wil be open to hearing about what I am doing

I have heard all kinds of stories where companies will move around downlines, Insert heavy hitters into existing positions, give sweetheart deals etc. Well I am happy to say that my company doesn’t play those games. Everybody starts at square one and everybody plays by the same rules

I had a situation recently where a guy signed up under somebody on my team. What we didn’t know is that he already had signed up a few years earlier but never worked it because he didn’t click with his sponsor. Unfortunately for him he continued to pay the $35 renewal fee each year rather than letting the position expire and revert to a Wholesale customer positions

Well the company found out he signed up again they wouldn’t allow it. We tried Begging, calling in favors, everything we could but no dice. So now he has canceled his position and is waiting the 6 months to start over again

I know that my company is not alone in having this integrity but there ARE companies that will play down-line musical

Case in point …

This morning I had a nurse come over my house to do an exam for some new insurance I am buying.

After we were done she asked me If I had to go back to work that afternoon

I replied “No I Work from Home”

She asked what I did …

rather than being the Typical MLMer and jumping all over her I briefly I told her what I did and changed the subject

She pressed for More Details

I showed her a sample of my product and told her a brief story of how the business had allowed me to create a full time income from home (Elapsed Time 2:00 min)

She then told me her story and how she had gotten laid off form her I.T. job, was doing the nursing as a part time gig and wanted something she could do and stay home with her kids

I gave her a copy of Success From Home Magazine which is featuring my company and we have an appointment to talk tomorrow night about the business

I kept the wording Short and to the point.  ( I am using a Google Voicemail. If you haven’t gotten one you should its really cool and FREE!

The research I did said the best day is to put out the signs is Late Friday Evening / Early Saturday Morning which I did

I also read that when you put out the signs on Saturday you won’t get any calls until Monday or  Tuesday because people write the number down and call a few days later

So far I have gotten 4 calls

- One from an HOA asking me not to put signs on their property and to please remove it
(Which I Did .. lesson learned .. don’t put  Signs on HOA property)

Should be interesting to see what calls I get in the next few days

At one point I almost got a heart attack. I pulled  over to the side of the road and started putting  up a sign in the grass with a stake. As I did a Cop car slowly cruised passed.

One of the first things that your sponsor will ask you to start building your MLM team is to start “Making Your List”.  I can hear the groans now. With the advent of the Internet and “Attraction Marketing” is it really necessary to do this?  The answer is an unequivocal yes!  The Warm Market list is a tried and true method of building an MLM business and always will be.

How to use this Memory Jogger …

1- Read through each group of contacts

2- If someone comes to mind write down their name (don’t worry about looking for their contact information yet)

3- Keep in mind that their may be some duplicates. (for example your brother’s friend may also be your friend, Your favorite Aunt may also be the Realtor that sold you your house .. etc.

4 – Don’t PREJUDGE anybody as to whether or not you think they would  be interested in your product, service or business …. just write down their name!

5 – When you get finished then start figuring out how to contact these people.

Later on I noticed that the mother had flown away. I went back to take a closer look. I saw four cute little baby birds in the nest. When I touched the branch near them they all opened their mouths at once. It was the cutest thing I have even seen. They were waiting for me to feed them!

During the day the mother would leave the nest to forage for food. She would them come back and feed them. At this point they were totally helpless and dependent on their mother. If she didn’t come back they would starve. I kept a close eye on the nest to make sure everything was ok.

One day I went to check and the nest was empty. I feared that something had happened to the babies. Later on I saw the mother and the babies perched on my roof. They had learned to fly on their own. I saw them for a few more days and then they were off. Hopefully they will return next year.

So what does this have to do with your Network Marketing Business? Well think of the new person you just signed up. They are like a baby bird. They are totally helpless and dependent on YOU for feeding. Only in this case you are not feeding them food, you are feeding them knowledge and experience. Feed them well and they will soon learn to fly on their own. Ignore them and they will wither away in the nest.
