Overcoming Objections on Price in MLM

brokeThe Investment to start an MLM business is usually under $1,000 and often under $500

That’s not a lot of money for a business

When I was in college my friend and I bought a Grocery store .. it cost $85,000

(We borrowed the money from our parents)

My wife and I started a little boutique … it  cost us $40,000. I bought a Wise Potato chip route .. it cost  me over $100,000.

Want to buy a Hallmark card store?   It will set you back $500K. A McDonalds Restaurant? It will cost you over $1.5 MIllion

But here’s the cool part  …

The Income potential of an MLM business is greater than any of these!

Let’s say the investment to start your business is $500 …

Even though $500 is a very low investment for a business you are still going to have people you that they don’t have the money …

That same person that tells you they don’t have $500 for your business will then go out the very next day and  buy an IPAD for $500 or a big screen TV for $1,500 …

It ‘s happened to me MANY Times! :)

So what do you do if your prospect say they don’t have the money?

Well the first thing you need to realize is that it’s not really about the money .. it’s that they haven’t seen the value of your MLM business yet.

If an MLM business cost a Million dollars it would be a different story .. but anybody can come up with $500 if they really want to …

Want me to prove it?

Try asking your prospect this:

You:  OK,  I understand. Let me ask you a question. If you could drive any car in the world what would it be? What is your Dream Car?

Prospect: I would love to drive a  Corvette (BMW, Ferrari, Cadillac.. etc)

You :  OK cool Corvettes are nice. What color would it be?

Prospect: Red    You: That’s a good choice. OK I want to ask you a crazy question. I want you to to answer it quickly and tell me the first thing that pops in your head.  Are you ready?

 Prospect: Ok …    You:  If I told you that I would give you the keys to a brand new 2013 Red corvette if you came up with $500 in an hour what would you do?

Prospect: I would go to the bank (borrow from Mom, Put it on my credit card, sell my TV etc)

You:  OK well this business can get you that Shiny red Corvette and anything else you want. As long as you are willing to put in the effort. So are you ready to get started?

Now your prospect may (and probably will) still hem and haw that they don’t have the money but you know (and they know) that if you offered them that brand new car for $500 they would whip out their credit card in a minute …

So how do you overcome this objection?

What Do I Do if My Prospect Has No Money?

Sign them up as a customer! Many of your best distributors may start out as customers first

They will be able to get familiar with your products and fall in love with them

Then that $500 wont seem like so much :)

Your business isn’t for everybody .. your  Product Is!

  1. I can really relate to this article. When I got into network marketing in about 1998, I REALLY didn’t have the money to do it. The company I joined cost $129 to be “all in”, but they did have an option to join at a lower level for $64.50.

    I was so broke at the time (both financially and spiritually) that I really did not have even an extra $64.50. But what I DID have was a burning desire to put an end to poverty in my life.

    I used the money we had set aside to pay our electric bill, and ordered the three bottles of product for $64.50 knowing that I had to sell them before the electric bill came due, and before the next month’s autoship was due.

    To make a long story short, I sold the 3 bottles of product, and did it the following months as well.

    Within six months I was able to leave my low paying job, and by the grace of God I have not had to have a J-O-B since.

    It was a good “gamble”… Network marketing saved my life.

    It’s obvious that for many of us, MLM/Network Marketing has been a great career. Like any profession though, it takes skills to do it well. Not only is it inexpensive to start a network marketing business, but you get great training for little or no cost. As John Fogg once coined it, it’s “The Peoples Franchise.”

    Surprisingly, it’s still one of the best kept secrets in all of business.
